UniPath, P.C. announces the addition of Aruna Dash, M.D. to its nephropathology department

UniPath, P.C., the region’s leading anatomic pathology practice announced today that Aruna Dash, M.D. joined the group on September 1, 2010.
“We are very pleased to have Dr. Dash join us,” says president of UniPath, P.C., Dr. Karim Sirgi, “UniPath’s renal pathology program is rapidly emerging as the top renal pathology program in the broader Rocky Mountain Region and we believe Dr. Dash will be a key contributor in these efforts.” He added, “Dr. Dash will also be part of our surgical pathology department and help us further strengthen our commitment to providing high quality, high service, subspecialized diagnostic pathology to our physician colleagues and hospital partners.”
UniPath offers a specialized nephropathology program supported by three board-certified pathologists with substantial experience in renal pathology: Drs. Aruna Dash, R. Weslie Tyson and Philip Stoffel. UniPath offers 24-48 hour turnaround service with diagnostic reports that include a synopsis of electron microscopy, light microscopy, and immunofluorescense studies.
Dr. Dash is board-certified in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology. Her areas of interest are renal pathology and surgical pathology. Dr. Dash received her medical degree from Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College, India where she also completed a rotational internship and her pathology residency. She then completed a fellowship in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at Safdurjung Hospital, New Delhi, India. Following that, Dr. Dash completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Dash then went on to complete a fellowship in renal pathology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
