UniPath, P.C., the region’s leading anatomic pathology practice announced today that it has added two new hematopathologists, Mark E. Miller, M.D. who joined on March 8, 2010, and Cristina Smith McLaughlin, M.D. who joined the practice on July 12, 2010.

Miller and McLaughlin bring strong hematology skills and expertise to the laboratory and our hematopathology department which will be instrumental to its continued success and expansion.”
Dr. Miller is board-certified in Hematology, and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Miller then completed his Anatomic/Clinical Pathology residency and Hematopathology fellowship at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. In addition to serving as co-chief resident at the University of Utah and Assistant Medical Director of Hematologic Flow Cytometry at ARUP Laboratories, Dr. Miller was most recently a pathologist at Flagstaff Medical Center in Arizona and also served as laboratory director at Little Colorado Medical Center.
Dr. McLaughlin is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and is also board-eligible in Hematology and will be completing the exam for her subspecialty board in late September 2010. She received her medical degree from the Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Medicine where she also completed her residency and served as co-chief resident. Dr. McLaughlin completed a Surgical Pathology fellowship at The Mayo Clinic, and a Hematopathology fellowship at Oregon Health & Sciences University. In addition to receiving multiple honors and awards, Dr. McLaughlin has been involved in several research projects, publications and presentations in pathology.
